You Know What
- Description: The Nobel Nightcap is a party held for the attendees of the Nobel Prize ceremony. Nobel Nightcap 2009 approached us at the Experience Design Group at Konstfack, Stockholm to create an experience inspired by the Nobel Laureates' work.
The creative process involved brainwashing ourselves every day for 7 days with one of the laureates' research and finding connections and metaphors to the work. We then broke off into teams to develop scenarios around two given laureate's research and produced prototypes and role plays to communicate our solutions.
The final idea was synthesised into the phrase "If I Only had a brain." The experience took place over the time in transit to reach the party, till the final point when the party ended. RFID brains linked the experience together and clues were given along the way in the form of flash mobs and flashing lightbulbs as to how to use these brains.
There were 1200 RFID brains in total. On using an RFID brain various interactive experiences were triggered around the party space. Each time a brain was used it was being visualised in a giant neural network, built in processing, that was projected in the Ball Room of the Party.
