Moshi Monsters
- Description: As part of my role as interactive designer at Penguin books, we created Buster's Lost Moshlings, a search and find app for the ipad, iphone and ipod touch. This was a challenging project with a great compact team comprised of an editor, print designer, developer and project manager. I was very lucky to work with an excellent Developer, Lei Bramley, who really pushed out the stops for creating innovative clean code and together we pushed the capabilities of the low-end devices.
My role was involved throughout the whole app creation process, from concept, wireframing and specification, low- and high-fidelity prototyping, user interface, visual design, animation, user observations, to final submission. An excellent opportunity to get my hands mucky with everything I love to do, this project also brought more insight into trusting one's instinct and the importance of marketing, strategy and the in-app purchase model for children. The one thing I took home from all our playful prototyping and user observations is never underestimate the kids.
